This remote uses a 12 pin cinch-jones type connector which was standard on the early model Otari machines.   Later they employed a different connector and remote control.   The estimated cable length is 20 feet.  These remotes have been tested and work perfectly.

This remote is not compatible with the MX5050BIII-2.
